The Roman Road

  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
  • But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
  • If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9
  • For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Yesterday Dad made us laugh a little bit. He was trying to write some things but it took much effort to hold a pen and write just one word. He did write a couple of things we could make out like "TV" and then "remote" (they had to guess at that one) so the nurse told him to push the button to call her and she would come change the channel for him. That make him smile a little. Then he wrote "grandpa" so Grandma asked him "You're asking about your dad?" He shook his head yes. She told him Grandpa had driven home already. Next he wrote "Dean" which was very clear. Dean is his brother who called earlier and my mom put the phone to Dad's ear. After Dean had talked Dad gave a thumbs up! Then he wrote "Zeke." So my mom asked him "do you want to see Zeke?" He nodded yes. After a minute she asked "do you want Zeke so he can pull out that vent tube for you?" Again he nodded yes. They told him none of us can take it out. If we did we would hurt him.
Last night after Dad's scan his face and neck were very swollen more than ever before. He had a new nurse who said the swelling was from the liver problems. Also, he had been sedated again so they could move him and do the tests they needed to do.
