The Roman Road

  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
  • But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
  • If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9
  • For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Thank you for checking out this blog! My name is Erin Watson. My parents are Tim and Suzi Hebbert. I am doing this so anyone can check on my dad's progress. I will try to update as aften as I learn anything new!
Last Saturday (June 13) my parents were riding their motorcycles outside of Peach Springs, AZ. We are not sure why or how, but my dad crashed. There were no other vehicles involved. He was awake and alert when my mom got to the accident (she was leading so she had to turn around). At that time he told her that he thought his leg was broken and maybe his arm. He could wiggle his fingers and toes but was not moving much more than that. My mom said it was obvious that at least one leg was broken.
When the ambulance arrived they called for flight for life to come get him. After about 25 minutes the helicopter showed up. The police officer sent my mom on her way so she could get to the hospital as soon as possible. So she had to ride by herself back to Bullhead. I met her at their shop Arizona Performance Cycle, and we headed for University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV.
When we got to Searchlight Mom called UMC to see how things were going and let them know how far out we were. The nurse on the phone would not tell her anything. In fact she said just to come as quickly as we could and they didn't want to tell us any news while we were driving. After that phone call we tried to prepare for the worst... We just prayed and tried to stay calm the whole way. I have to say the trip was very smooth. And even though we were nervous God gave us the peace and strength we needed to get to the hospital.
Finally we made it to UMC. My best bud Cassie met us there and we scurried through the GIANT place trying to fing the Trauma ICU. Once we found it we were asked to sit and wait. and wait. It felt like forever before a doctor came to escort us to the "quiet room." Then she told us he was in surgery with two broken legs, two broken arms and a broken pelvis but no internal organs were damaged and no brain or spine damage was found! Praise God! We were expecting her to tell us he had gone to be with the Lord.
Shortly after that my brother Zeke showed up. He had been in Flagstaff, AZ and barrowed his girlfriends car to get to Las Vegas. We were glad to have him there with us. The only one missing was my husband Tyler who stayed in Bullhead to finish up some work at the shop and try to track down my dad's bike.
That first night Timi Lynn, Taryn and I stayed at Cassie's house but my mom and Zeke stayed at the hospital.
