The Roman Road

  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
  • But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
  • If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9
  • For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Monday morning was a big surprise to all of us. The nurse told Suzi that Tim had taken a turn for the worse. He now has pneumonia. Also he is totally sedated because he was trying to take out his breathing tube. His kidneys are not keeping up either so he is VERY puffy with all of the extra fluid in his body. His blood sugars have been all over the board.

Tuesday we were told he does not have pneumonia. Both humerus bones are broken and were set in surgery. His right femur is broken and was set in surgery. The left tib and fib are not broken, they are what was broken last year so they must still look newly broken on and xray.

Wednesday the doctor ordered that the sedation be taken off completely because they want to see Tim wake up. They have been monitoring brain activity and they say it is good.

Thursday morning Tim has still not waken up so the doctor took away all pain meds hoping that would wake him up. The docs are starting to get concerned that he hasn't waken up yet. His fever is pretty high and has been since Wednesday. He had a ct scan of his head and that came back with good results. Also an ultrasound of his thighs and legs was done today to check for blood clots and they did not find any.

Friday the doctor said Tim now does have pneumonia. Today he had an MRI done and scans of chest and belly. They are just looking for any reason that he is not waking up.

We are so very very thankful for all of the support from our friends and family. Thank you all for everything you have done! The phone calls, cards, donations, hotel rooms and prayers! We know that none of this is a surprise to God.
