Today Dad looks much better! He looks very peaceful. He is mostly sleeping, but once in a while he peeks at us.
Woo Hoo! they have started weaning him off of the ventilator! This morning they are giving just 10 respiration's per minute down from 14! and less oxygen.
The scans from last night showed no liver damage and no obstructions. Praise God! Also the doctor said his liver numbers are not high enough to cause brain damage and the numbers are going down. Praise God some more!!
His white blood count is up a little. He is getting lots of antibiotics still. But overall, his doctor who saw him Friday says he is looking much better today!

All of our friends have been so so generous! I don't know how we will ever be able to thank you all enough! Everyone please know that we are very grateful! And we thank God for all of you and your thoughfulness!

  1. Erin,

Thank you for this blog. I have been so worried since last week, not knowing how your dad is doing. It is good to hear he is responding and has his sense of humor.
