The Roman Road

  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
  • But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
  • If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9
  • For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13

Sunday

Sunday (June 14) was a very good day! This day the doctors said they wanted to wean Tim off of the ventilator. He was down to 5 respiration's per minute. Many visitors came to see him. He was awake off and on. And he would open his eyes to look at us when he heard our voices. Also he was answering questions by shaking his head yes or no. He has a ventilator tube going down his throat is why he can not talk, but he did mouth some words! He even winked at Timi Lynn!! Zeke had asked him if he knew what happened and he shook his head yes. While Zeke and I were in with him one time he was pointing to his belly and I asked if it was itchy did he want me to scratch and he shook yes. Then we could see that the tubes were really bothering and he almost was gagging. He started moving his hands and finally we could see that he wanted his bed to be sitting up! Then the nurse asked if he wanted his mouth to be suctioned and he shook yes again. We were excited that he was communicating with us. The nurse said that once he gets totally off of the vent he won't have to be in ICU anymore because he has no internal problems, just bones. It was very hard for any of us to leave that night because we could see that he was frustrated and trying to tell us something but we could not understand.
